Outreach
LARC faculty and staff collaborate with professional language organizations such as ACTFL, CLTA, FLCSD and, NCOLTCL to assess the changing needs of language instructors. Based on these findings, LARC plans and hosts professional development workshops, summer institutes and continued education courses for language educators. Outreach to the local community further promotes cultural awareness, cross-cultural issues, and language skills assessment with immersion, bilingual and after school programs.
