Punjabi Language Program
The need for educating heritage learners in San Diego’s Punjabi community has lead to collaborative efforts resulting is the development of teaching tools for online course development. These tools are being tested in San Diego, and will be made available to for Punjabi content development and use nationally and internationally. The Poway Gurudwara provides classes in Punjabi language and culture on Sundays for K-12 students and adults in its dedicated educational wing. These classes are using the LARC-developed program called the Punjabi Language Lesson Creator and Instructional Materials Database System for developing Punjabi language lessons and cultural resources.
