Critical Language Immersion Program
The purpose of the effort will be to provide critical foreign language training to adult students from the university, military and government agencies who have a requirement to speak and understand Arabic Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Iraqi Dialect, Persian, and other languages determined by conducting needs assessments with the users. This proof of concept will leverage previous work and test new approaches in curriculum development that will include cultural training and cross cultural competencies with the goal of providing the individuals with functional language skills across many contexts.
