About LARC Events

events mapLARC develops and sponsors many events during the regular school semester and summer programs. Special language and technology courses, professional development and training, summer institutes and visiting guest lectures are planned by faculty and staff to improve the teaching and learning of foreign and second languages throughout the United States, and the world. Some events reach out to specific languages and cultures, while others apply a global concept approach that can be applied to different languages and their cultures. The language levels of LARC events follow the guidelines of both the  ACTFL scale from Novice up to the Superior level, and the ILR scale which includes Advanced Professional Proficiency and Functionally Native Proficiency.
