Summer Institutes

Summer Institutes are a major part of LARC’s role as a national Foreign Language Resource Center in accordance with U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant funding. There are already more than a dozen workshops and intensive language courses being offered at San Diego State University this summer. Please check the LARC Events calendar to see what is being offered and the dates for each workshop.

Classes

These intensive 8- 10 unit courses will help students develop beginner, intermediate and advanced level skills in Arabic, Persian and Russian speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Through the use of authentic materials the students will be exposed to a wide variety of topics including basic academic and cultural knowledge. High School students (16+ years old), undergraduate and graduate students, working professionals, college and university faculty, and others, may apply.
