Assessing Language Using Computer Technology

While the use technology in language teaching classrooms has become increasingly more common, fewer teachers are comfortable using technology as they assess leaner progress.  In this webinar on assessing language using computer technology, I will outline ways in which technology can be used to help inform the assessment of language learners.

Biographical Statement:

Vvolker-imageolker Hegelheimer, Associate Professor, teaches courses on technology in language teaching and research, language assessment, and research methodology. His research interests include applications of the WWW and emerging technologies in language learning and language testing. He has presented his research and held academic workshops at numerous national and international conferences. His publications have appeared in journals such as Language Learning & Technology, Language Testing, System, Computer-Assisted Language Learning, ReCALL, CALICO Journal, and he contributed to several edited volumes on Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
