Ms. Hanna Alkassas

Arabic Lead Instructor

Hanna Kassas Ms. Alkassas has a Master's degree in Theology, Islamic Studies and a minor in Islamic Studies and Arabic from the University of Graduate Theological Foundation, Indiana. Ms. Alkassas has experience in implementing world language pedagogy. Ms. Alkassas is a curriculum developer and teacher trainer at California World Language Project (CWLP), where she often presents on the topics of best practices. Ms. Alkassas is an ACTFL OPI certified Arabic tester. She has been the Arabic Language Group Lead in the STARTALK teacher training programs at LARC since 2013. As a lead, she has assisted the Arabic language group participants in developing thematic lesson plans with activities in the target language.
Ms. Alkassas has over 20 years of experience in teaching Arabic to diverse students of varying levels (K-16). Currently she is an adjunct Arabic professor at Cuyumaca College. At LARC, she teaches Arabic 201 & 202 during the summer Project GO intensive courses.
