Welcome to the STARTALK Arabic Student Camp at San Diego State University!
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF LEARNING ARABIC?
The Language Acquisition Resource Center at San Diego State University is delighted to announce a four-week Arabic STARTALK summer program. The program will offer an engaging and creative summer experience to 12 motivated students in grades 9–12 with no prior knowledge of the language.
If you attended the SDSU Arabic student camp in the summer 2018 you are not eligible to enroll in the Arabic program again this year; however, you may apply to one of our other summer camps – Russian, Farsi, or Portuguese.
While at the program, you will gain insight into Arabic culture while learning to communicate in the Arabic language as spoken in the Levant. You will practice communicating in Arabic through a variety of fun, engaging, and meaningful, activities while learning about the life of young people your age in different countries. In addition to being immersed in the Arabic language, you will also participate in a variety of authentic cultural activities that will deepen your understanding and appreciation of the cultures of the Arabic world.
Upon successful completion, all students will be awarded four units of undergraduate college credit through the SDSU College of Extended Studies. For more information, check out our FAQ page.
