Welcome to the STARTALK Persian Student Camp at San Diego State University!

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF LEARNING PERSIAN?

The Language Acquisition Resource Center at San Diego State University is delighted to announce a four-week Persian STARTALK summer program. The program is open to 12 motivated students in grades 9–12 with no prior knowledge of the language.

If you attended the Persian student camp in the summer 2018 you are not eligible to enroll in the Persian program this year; however, you may apply to one of our other summer camps – Russian, Arabic, or Portuguese.

While at the program, you will gain insight into Persian culture while learning to communicate in the Farsi language as spoken in Iran. You will practice communicating in Persian through a variety of fun, engaging, and meaningful, activities while learning about the life of young people your age in Iran. In addition to being immersed in the language, you will also participate in a variety of cultural activities that will deepen your understanding and appreciation of the Persian culture.

Upon successful completion, all students will be awarded four units of undergraduate college credit through the SDSU College of Extended Studies. For more information, check out our FAQ page.

And if you’re still wondering “why Persian” check out some of the reasons you may want to give it a try this summer!
